Dear Mr. Alec Baldwin,
You are cordially invited to The Paleo Garden Party. You see, this party really is an invitation for you to explore a way of life, it’s called evolutionary living. Part of this lifestyle accentuates an evolutionary/paleo diet of as much meat, vegetables and fruit that you would like to eat.
Eat meat, vegetables, and fruit, drink water. There are no limits. In eating this way, you will not overeat, you’ll naturally limit yourself.
This way of living in part is centered around the types of food that we eat based on the understanding that our bodies for millions of years evolved to eat more or less a balanced ratio of the 3 macronutrients:
Carbohydrate
Fat
Protein
A researcher by the name of Loren Cordian has shown that by looking at archeological records of ancient hunter and gatherer societies as well as modern hunter and gatherer societies, our bodies were not designed to take in such a high percentage of sugar (sucrose and/or fructose) and other carbohydrates.

10,000 years ago mankind did not eat sugar (except for the rare honey), and did not eat wheat, corn, potatoes, rice and most legumes. For millions of years, mankind ate only meat, fruits and vegetables. Now that much more than 2/3 of mankind’s caloric intake comes from high carbohydrate foods that only have been in specie’s diet for 1% of our history, our bodies are not well adapted to process such high amounts of carbohydrate from grains and starches.
In hunter and gatherer societies where carbohydrate intake is between 30-40% (or lower) of caloric intake, these diseases are all but absent.
Mr. Baldwin, this invitation is being respectfully presented to you to join in this “party” with those of us that are following this path. In some circles it’s called Evolutionary Fitness, The Paleo Diet, or Primal BluePrint. We would like to invite you to take a look at some of the experts’ research in this evolutionary living movement:
-Loren Cordain: The Paleo Diet
-Arthur De Vany, 72-year-old economist and life-long athlete who has developed Evolutionary Fitness, a combination of an evolutionary diet and a fitness program. I recommend reading an article written about him in the UK’s Sunday Times edition, as well as Dr. De Vany’s essay on Evolutionary Fitness.
-Gary Taubes, author of Good Calories, Bad Calories. GC/BC is the best book on dietary research that’s been written in the last fifty years.
The explanation of this evolutionary diet can be summarized very simply:
-Eat as much as you want of meat, vegetables and fruit. This is the diet that you were meant to eat.
-Don’t eat processed foods which inherently includes highly processed substances such as wheat, corn, rice, potatoes, legumes, and refined sugars.
-Drink water. If you want orange juice have an orange instead. Coffee and tea in moderation if that’s your thing. Alcohol in moderation or not all.
It’s that simple, it’s the easiest thing you’ll ever do, if you give it a chance.
Over the course of the next couple of months, in a respectful, welcoming and non-intrusive manner, we will attempt to ensure that through media, business contacts, friends or family, this invitation to take a look at this paleo lifestyle is presented to you for your consideration.
Why? There are no strings, there’s nothing that’s being sold to you, and nothing being asked. We at The Paleo Garden are not selling anything, the links I have recommended we do not represent any busy interests in. We simply believe that if someone with your standing considers and implements this lifestyle, your example of improved health and happiness would be a positive influence for a lot of people.
Thank you for your consideration of this invitation, we hope to see you at the garden party. The favor of an RSVP is requested.
Sincerely,
The Paleo Garden ![]()
